Personally not particularly.
The problem with mat finishes I find are they develop shiny marks or shiny scratches where they are used. Not as easy to maintain in my opinion.
If you get a mark on a standard finish tool you can simply polish it out.
I’m sure someone will say the opposite but that’s just how I feel about it after my experiences.
