Hello everyone,

I was wondering if you could help me with this. Does anyone know why the 2016 Make A Wish limited edition knife didn't come in a special box? I'll share a picture of my Christmas/Winter collection. As you can see, all the other knives in these series came in special boxes.

I remember getting mine on a trip to Vx Luzern. After picking up a few knives, including the White Christmas limited edition, the vendor told me, "There's another limited edition knife this year… I know it doesn't look like it, but it is." I'm so grateful that she told me about it. 😁

It's a shame this Climber didn't get the special treatment. According to SAKWiki, it was limited to 5000 knives. I think that deserves a special box, don't you agree?

Lucius513 da hast Du recht, aber damals war es wohl mehr oder weniger nur ein normal Messer neben dem Weihnachtsmesser. Das es das wurde, was es später wurde, war wohl nicht absehbar

Para la cuál no tengo respuesta.
Es cierto que make a wish salió por primera vez en el 2016,…. en el 2017 no hubo edición,… y en el 2018 de nuevo sí. Quizás haya alguna relación entre el uso de una caja estándar y el parón posterior (lo digo, porque quizás en 2016 fue algo así como una prueba para responder a la pregunta: ¿funcionará una navaja con motivos navideños / invernales si solo la vendemos en tiendas (retail)?).
Pero como digo, estoy especulando.

Me alegro de que poseas esa navaja, yo lo cierto es que sueño con ella hace años, pues es la única que me falta para completar la colección. Magnífica

MichaelRothenpieler True, but they still knew it was a limited edition knife. Why not show that in the packaging?

Erik I wish I had 2 to help you complete your collection, Eric. The only limited edition knives I have 2 of are the first White Winter knife (because the first one I ordered came with scratched scales), and the 2016 Climber Gold (not sure why I got 2… probably because it was different and relatively affordable).

Just a note… technically, the 2016 Make A Wish knife is not part of the series, since the 2018 and 2019 knives are called All You Wish For… so your collection is not really incomplete. 😁

Hallo zusammen,

Soweit ich weiß, gab es früher eine parallele Unterserie von Weihnachtsmessern: eine mit verschiedenen Modellen, die jährlich weltweit herausgebracht wurden, und eine andere mit Variationen des Climber-Modells, die alle zwei Jahre für den Schweizer Markt erschienen.

Das „Make A Wish“-Climber-Modell von 2016 war wahrscheinlich ein „Prüfstein“, daher wurde der Verpackung nicht viel Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt.

Es ist mein Lieblingsweihnachtsmesser von Victorinox, und ich bin sehr traurig, dass diese Unterserie eingestellt wurde.
