ThomasKuederle Thank you for the recommendation! I can remember hearing the name before years ago. I went to their web site and they're very impressive and I would say not too expensive either.
I'm thinking it might be good to make sand casting molds for casting brass and aluminium. Right now I have to make them out of wood and it's hard to get details symmetrical.
I definitely need to do some more research on 3D printing.
In the past I've paid for people to print my designs but I've not been happy with their results all the time. One item warped from the heat of the sun when I left it near a window for about an hour. I know it makes sense because the material is melted to actually print. Heat isn't its friend.
There's lots for me to learn even about the material properties.
I could easily get sucked down another rabbit hole.
