Elsinox I'm pretty sure this key ring is not original. These knives were part of the RNLAF survival kits in F-104 Starfighter and NF-5 jetfighters. They were also used during pilot survival trainings held at Gilze-Rijen AFB. That's why many of these knives are in very bad conditions. I have one with two tweezers and no toothpic. Probably the keyring was a substite provided by the Dutch airforce 😉

EMZ das ist gut möglich. Meine Antwort sollte mehr aufzeigen, dass ich mich vom Messer aktuell nicht trennen möchte, mit oder ohne Schlüsselring :-)

Weiss man eigentlich, wie viele dieser Messer bestellt wurden? Es muss über einen längeren Zeitraum gewesen sein. Die ursprünglichste Variante hat ja noch die aussenliegende Ahle (vor 1961), die späteste Variante den Schlüsselring (nach 1968).

bzgl. Welches Messer hat welche Armee, Zeitraum von bis bei Wechsel,welche Varianten gibt es ein schönes Nachschlagewerk für Sammler.

I don't have the cool editions like you do, but I have a Black Nylon Scale Bantam that may be exclusive to the Singapore Armed Forces. ("May" as in that's what I've been told, but since it is a common knife with common scales, albeit in an uncommon color/material combo, I don't think it is rare.) I did order it from a Singapore Army-Navy store as I didn't know this was a thing when I was there on vacation…

)

The Digicamo version of the Malaysian Army Knife, with black oxide coated blade & scale tools. Based on the Victorinox Outrider with Philips screwdriver in place of the corkscrew.

I do have a few other Victorinox military versions like the Standard Camo Malaysian Army knife, German Army knife, Dutch Army knife, Singapore Army knife (essentially just a standard black Trailmaster) etc lying around somewhere too 😊
