Alox Rambler

Ich habe einen Rambler/Manager an meinem Schlüsselbund und finde ihn einfach toll, aber es gibt noch Verbesserungspotenzial. Ich würde mir wirklich wünschen, dass Victorinox eine Alox-Version des Rambler herausbringt – genau wie die, die früher nur in China erhältlich war.

I carry a Rambler/Manager on my keychain, and I absolutely love it, but there is room for improvement.

I really wish that Victorinox would make an Alox version of the Rambler - just like the one that used to be available only in China.

sorslibertas I wonder if the decision comes down to the already existing MiniChamp Alox. Perhaps a Rambler is close enough that they have decided not to pursue this so they don’t undercut the minichamp sales. FWIW I agree with you - would love to get my hands on one.

I can only say I agree - especially on the keychain every mm matters, and therefore an Alox Rambler would be a nice upgrade to the already amazing Alox Classic SD without getting too thick.

I fortunately managed to get one of the China Edition examples but would love one to be available in Europe as well.

I would also very much like to see this one sold in the West. There were some limited editions made years ago for a US dealer, but these and the China exclusive versions are very hard to find (and expensive!) in Europe and the US today. I have the Mini Champ Alox, but I don't really use the extra tools. A Rambler Alox would be perfect.

It’s disappointing - the layout of the Rambler is perfect for my day-to-day use. I tried looking for the Chinese market Alox Rambler, but they are going for silly prices.

I made a suggestion to start producing Aox Ramblers on the product idea page, here’s hoping Victorinox will listen.

Oh nice, thank you! I was considering the same thing. One of my biggest wishes from Victorinox (next to reissuing the Scientist). Fingers crossed!

I have this idea I should pitch one day that they should make a „heritage“ series where they re-issue one or two knives per year. Maybe give them slightly different but classic scales (I am thinking a darker red like oxblood) and if necessary maybe make them numbered or something. But that is for the normal cellidor models like the Yeoman and Scientists. But why not also include Alox! Or - in the case of the Rambler - that could just go into normal production! 🙂

I would definitely buy a Rambler Alox. It's the 58mm that is missing in my Alox Collection.

Who here wouldn't? I EDC a Manager on my keychain (love the pen) and it has the perfect toolset for me. I would love to add an alox rambler to my collection, even if I'd probably keep EDCing the Manager. A black, a red, and a silver one at least, and another black one for the rotation. It can join my car key. 😁

I would instantly buy an alox rambler if made available in the UK. Probably two.
