This is probably a stupid question for many of you but how do you customize a victorinox? I know thats a big question.

BlueRidgeMtns aquí no hay preguntas tontas. Si te refieres a personalizar las herramientas, para ello lo primero es quitar las cachas (o escamas, ya que no sé cómo traduce esto el traductor) después los remaches, que son los pasadores que van de un lado a otro de la navaja, y ahí te encuentras con las herramientas y los separadores. Configuras las herramientas siempre que se pueda, y vuelves a montar.

Dicho así parece muy fácil, pero personalmente no lo he hecho nunca, así que muchos por aquí te podrán aportar más y mejores datos al respecto.

BlueRidgeMtns it really depends on what you want to do.
This custom used three other Victorinox as donors. A standard 93mm Alox was used for the scales, which I then had cerakoted gloss black. The knife and scissors were from a synergy x to maintain the locking feature of the blade. The compact tool was from a 91mm compact. The tool had to have its tool hole enlarged. Victorinox have so far not put the locking blade ina standard 93mm or made this configuration.

I started customising in 2020 during Covid. I was/am frustrated at the number of discontinued models, despite all parts still being made, so wanted to try my hand at it. Also Victorinox used to do lots of different scale colours but again have regressed back to some simple ones on Alox so that’s why I explored Cerakote as an option.

So in real down models and rebuild them as I want too.

All those responses where helpful. I was preplexed on how to deal with the rivets and back springs. I wondered if you must have special equipment and parts to take apart and put back together again.

BlueRidgeMtns a pillar drill, hammer and pin punch is all I use to take apart. I think I average about 7 SAKs an hour to take 93mm apart.

To build, I actually need no tools apart from torx driver, but have a special self made guide for the final pivot. I use pivots and screws instead of rivets.

NickSak thanks for sharing. It sounds like not only to be great having the tools you want but really fun to do
