29roadie I received a new Tinker SoftGrip Wabemuster - VN53107 today. These have the soft grip rubber scales. I picked one up a couple of months ago so I knew what I was seeing when this popped up online. It was just another used Spartan to the seller. I thought it was going to be in bad shape going by the sellers pictures but it's in really good shape. I really like these. The pattern is great and I like the feel. It can live with the other one I have now. . .

Spok 29roadie das ist ein guter Tipp! Ich benutze häufig WD40 um alte Tür Dichtungen oder andere Sachen aus Gummi wieder weich und flexibel zu bekommen! Danach, trotz hohem Alter, wird das Gummi wie neu!! Klasse, danke!!
sv4 29roadie I’ve had the soft rubber grips on a few of my old Wengers deteriorate/crack. I’ve eventually found that the best “preservative” was a thin coating of pure silicon oil to keep the rubber supple. Mineral oil works too, but I think pure silicon was better.

29roadie SchiefBe It's kind of surprising how they feel. Well that's how I felt anyway. I'm looking for the Black On the Road knife and the red one too now. I only just barely missed out on the red one a couple of months back. Next time hopefully.
