Maarten This mail call is a bit different from the normal victorinox product i buy. Have seen this a few times. And came a cross one for a small price. So i had to get it. It isnt sharp but it looks nice. Missing the leather piece for the sheath. But i dont mind that.
Komrade Komrade An update – Going down the google rabbit hole I found this 2024 video from Formosa News (https://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/politics/from-exquisite-to-unique-inside-switzerland-s-trove-of-diplomatic-gifts/49059518) showing the previous Mayor of Bern, Alec von Graffenried, gifting a “Stadtpräsident von Bern” Classic to visiting dignitaries from Taiwan. And the website swissinfo.ch has an article on diplomatic gifts saying that Swiss authorities frequently utilize these iconic pocket tools—synonymous with Swiss precision and craftsmanship—as standard gifts for international dignitaries, diplomats, and state visitors. This was a TSA knife and was probably gifted by the current mayor Marieke Kruit, though it could have been from Von Graffenried as well.
29roadie This arrived today. If it was a Victorinox it would be a Cowboy. A knife I'm still looking for in good shape oddly enough. This actually is a Wenger Ranger 03 / Timberline (I think) I honestly know nothing about the Wenger knives but I do like the one and two layer slide lock Victorinox models. On this one I really like the clip point blade and the red slide button. It's in ok shape and just needs a clean up and a blade polish. It has a new home in my very small corner display area dedicated just to Wenger knives.

Komrade A couple of oddballs today. A Swiss made Recta compass that’s different from the other VX-branded compasses I’ve seen. Not sure if this came is a set? And a 58mm Watch Strap Tool, c. 2016, complete with strap.
