I’m not going anywhere far this summer. It’s kind of the year where I canceled all my big plans. I was planning on going to Victoria (nicest city in Canada by the way) for an old car event that only happens every 3 years called Deuce Days but I had to cancel. I usually drive down to the Nevada/Utah border for Bonneville Speed Week in August but that’s not going to happen again for at least 4 years if ever.
Just day trips mostly or maybe overnight trips a couple of times. My wife has horses that she rides in the mountains here when it’s not super hot out. I’m about 20 minutes drive from the city but there is no one around here and I’m in the wilderness. I would love to go to Scandinavia, Switzerland, Monaco, Portugal, Japan, etc. We have (she has 😆) chosen to have a bunch of animals and it makes leaving on a big trip kind of hard.
Having said that I’m probably going to change my EDC from the Pioneer X to a 91mm with plus scales and an inline Philips. Probably a Spartan Lite, Huntsman Lite, Voyager, Explorer, Yeoman, Scientist, or a custom I made. I don’t often wear gloves when I should so this is sliver season. I think I’ve had 7 in just the last couple of days. I may also pair the Pioneer X with a tool only 91mm custom that I’ve shared before. The one I call the Millwright. One hanging in both front pockets.
