MichaelRothenpieler The spare parts box had the normal springs, micro screwdrivers etc. They were replaced with buttons. 🤣 There was also supposed to be 3 big catalogs. They didn't go into the box. There are a couple of other things too. I have messaged the seller so we'll see what happens. I see this costing me more money if I want that stuff shipped to me.

Interesting stuff there, 29roadie. I’ve seen that spare parts box at my local Victorinox dealer before. When I needed to replace missing parts like tweezers, toothpicks, mini screwdriver etc they would take out the spares box 😊

sv4 Yes that's right I've seen those before. I wonder if this box started as one of those or if Victorinox did the same thing with Victorinox buttons and zipper parts? I really can't see that myself. How much call is there for replacement buttons really? 😜. I think it was just someone reusing the box. but having said some of the buttons were in little bags. I really don't know.

Hi everyone. I have just had the black tweezers delivered for my EDC Explorer with the measurements on them. I had the red one delivered a couple of months ago for my Companion also. They are both the same with inches on one side and mm on the other, laser etched I think and very good quality inscription! They add a really nice little extra touch to the already amazing knives which I enjoy.

You can find them on etsy from 'IronLeafCustom'.

Next thing I'm thinking of is to get my surname engraved on the Explorers main blade, I've not done this before to any of my knives but I think it would really personalise it beautifully as its one of my main EDC knives and not a collectors cabinet queen!

MichaelRothenpieler I wasn't, I don't really have the means or the skills to do it. There is an engraving place in town that I've used a few times before who are good.

Nr. 235fmaU mit Box. Konnte eine grössere Sammlung kaufen, das ist nur 1 Modell davon. Tolle Sachen dabei, hatte grosses Glück.

Messerbaer60 vielen Dank! Das Modell ist inzwischen selten geworden. Mir gefällt dieses blau sehr gut. Hat noch die alte Schere verbaut mit dem speziellen Ausschnitt um Bleikugeln zussmmen zu drücken. Gab es nur für dieses Modell.

Julius ja wirklich speziell. Kenne es auch mit der neuen Schere ohne diese Kerbe. Evtl hat man noch Restposten dieser Scheren gefunden gehabt.

Weist du, wie lange dieses Modell in blau mit der Fischintarsie hergestellt wurde?

Elsinox I have see the blue scale knives only in pictures. I had no idea about the special crimping scissors.
When did they transition to the pliers? That may have been looked at as a better solution and these were just a transitional tool?

Elsinox I'm not sure, I think the model with the special scissors and blue scales, but only the fish emblem, was discontinued shortly after 1973, and then for a short period they made models with blue scales, the Victorinox emblem, and the fish emblem, but with regular scissors.Just my thoughts 🤷🏻‍♂️
