The giant thistles in our park are finishing blooming, and my favorite beetles, the golden bronze beetles (Cetonia aurata), are gradually flying away. I wanted to take a photo of one in flight, but these beetles take off surprisingly quickly, and I only managed a few half-decent shots against the backdrop of a Victorinox Rose Edition Cadet.

I was hoping it would climb to the top of the Victorinox and start to fly from there, but no, it unexpectedly took off right from the flower.
It was the last beetle I could find around.
