Die Companion-Serie ist perfekt 👍. Manchmal brauche ich kein Messer, aber Schere, Flaschenöffner und den ein oder anderen Schraubendreher -so ist alles für mich nötige praktisch, leicht und schmal zusammen.

I think the new Companion Collection is a great addition. This is offering completely new potential options for people travelling whether it’s a long distance, just the daily commute, or into areas that the rules are unfamiliar. This offers options for those who work in schools, hospitals, government buildings, etc that they never had before. I will use them everyday mainly as a “Companion” to another EDC knife.

Das ist ja perfekt!
In letzter Zeit gibt es immer mehr Waffenverbotszonen, wo auch der Besitz meines lieben Victorinox-Messers zu Problemen führen kann. Und ich - der ich auch gut auf eine Klinge verzichten kann - wünsche mir schon lange eine Werkzeugsammlung für die Hostentasche, ohne fürchten zu müssen, bei evtl. Kontrollen komische Fragen beantworten zu sollen.
Und: Auf eine Klinge kann ich verzichten, nicht aber auf die Schere und andere Dinge.

Was ich damit machen würde? Ganz einfach: Täglich in der Hostentasche mitnehmen und in Situationen einsetzen, die Nicht-Vic-Fans gar nicht im Auge haben :-)

I just wanted to point out another consideration that I’ve mentioned in another thread specifically about a bladeless custom I had made. This Companion collection offers the opportunity to carry a lot of tools with you while not having a massive heavy bulky knife in your pocket. You can now split the knife in two essentially and carry two much smaller knives in separate pockets. This will open up infinite combinations of knives and tools you normally wouldn’t carry. A Spartan might actually find its way back into my personal rotation in addition to a tool from this new collection.

So what is the official correct nomenclature? Should I be referring to these as knives or tools as I have been trying to. Suddenly we have unlocked Swiss Army Tools. 🤪😆

Jessica Für mich als grosser Alox-Fan würde es eine schöne Erweiterung für meine Alox-Sammlungen sein (ich versuche jede Farbe und jedes Modell zusammen zu bringen). Da es natürlich zu meiner Alox-Sammlung dazukommen würde, würden die nicht benutzt werden. Für die Benützung würde mir eine Klinge fehlen (für die Benutzung, habe ich andere Messer die mir meine Bedürfnisse besser erfüllen.)

Jessica Die Serie ist eine praktische Erweiterung für den täglichen Gebrauch und zum Sammeln! Da ich für meine Arbeit immer unterwegs bin im Ausland werde ich diese Serie sicher benutzen. Und eine Name? Es ist kein Sackmesser mehr…..vielleicht ein Sackbegleiter!

Und 91mm Companion mit Klinge und Feile ist auch eine (vielgewünschte) schöne Erweiterung der 91mm Sackmesser.

Messerbaer60 Beschwerd habe ich mich nie da ich mit dem Programm immer zufrieden war und es ja auch viele schöne Serien gab und gibt wie Jahresmesser, 3er Alox, 10er Classic damals.

Auch die 91er,93er, 111er 130er SwissCard alles ok und in Ordnung.

Neue Werkzeuge ja wenn sie gut sind. Aber immer mit Klinge.

Eine Idee wäre doch wer keine Klinge will schickt sein Messer ein und bekommt sie mit einem Platzhalter ohne Funktion getauscht. Alle wären glücklich.

Ich sehe es genauso wie Du… und viele andere . (gerade in den franz. und ausländichen Facebook Gruppen und Instagram.

Und ich finde es auch voll ok.

Leider werden die Messer für die ich "brenne" immer seltener. Ich finde mich immer mehr bei den alten Victorinox Messern.

Ihr wollt eine offene und ehrliche Meinung? Nun gut, das Companion ist mir nicht zureichend ausgestattet. Es fehlt für mich einiges an Werkzeug, es ist mir Zuwenig EDC. Was ist, wenn ich trotzdem gewinne? Ganz einfach, dann kommt es in die Sammlung und es wird weiter verschenkt an jemanden der ich kenne wo es sich nicht leisten kann und es brauchen würde.

Das "neue" Companion gibt es schon seit 2023. Nur mit Holzgriffschalen. So neu ist das also gar nicht.

Jessica Ich bin mir noch gar nicht so sicher, was ich mit dem Set machen würde, falls ich es hier gewinne…..:

Es wäre ein guter Start in eine kleine Sammlung, aber andererseits sind diese Messer auch eine gute Antwort auf die traurige Erfordernis an einigen Orten (ÖPNV z.B.) keine Taschenmesser dabei haben zu dürfen und ich würde sie lieber dabei haben (natürlich nicht alle gleichzeitig 😉🤣)

Aber da kann ich da ja dann nochmal gründlich darüber nachdenken, falls ich gewinne.

I would be absolutely honored and delighted to win the Companion collection!

I am a life long Victorinox fan and I think these new editions are a welcome addition to the range. I am hoping these new tools are the start of a new phase of exciting new tools and models from Victorinox and I am looking forward to what the future holds.

As for the Companion collection I would love my wife to have the 58mm S, it would fit perfectly into her busy lifestyle and would be endlessly useful for her to carry day to day, so small and easily carried with absolute minimum intrusion.

The Companion X would be an amazing tool for my young sons to use for their arts and crafts. Victorinox scissors are the best out there and my boys would find them extremely useful for cutting all kinds of materials, under careful supervision of course!

And finally, the Slim I would keep in my pocket at all times. It would be the ultimate everyday carry tool. Whether I am opening packets, tightening screws or opening my favourite beer at the end of a busy week it would be at hand at all times.

I am excited to see where Victoinox is going in the future and to have a little part of that is very exciting and special. Thank you and very best wishes.

I am sad to read all the negative comments referring to this series as a "mistake". Not every tool-kit is designed for every person. I personally would never buy the golf-tool because I have never played golf, and have no intention to ever try - and that is OK! I don't feel any desire to negatively criticize its existence. I also personally have no use for a bladeless model, but I acknowledge that there is a growing number of laws and culture that prohibit or stigmatize carrying a blade in public. It is nice to see that Victorinox has given a stylish option for folks in such situations who want to continue to carry a small tool-kit, or maybe give to a child to take to school? Blades are prohibited in USA schools, but not scissors. The Alox Companion series seems like a practical solution to these niche problems.

VSAKCS also ich sehe es etwas anders. Die Rückmeldungen sind mehrheitlich positiv, was mich eher überrascht. Viel besser, als ich es erwartet hatte. Bedeutet: Victorinox hat vieles richtig gemacht. Bisher haben sie doch mit einem absolut minimalen Aufwand einen Maximalertrag erreicht. Keine hohen Entwicklungskosten für neue Tools, so braucht niemand Angst zu haben, dass das Geld für wirkliche Innovationen fehlen sollte. Also alles bestens.

Dass die Serie für viele nichts ist, war doch allen klar. Aber Kritik kann und soll auch erlaubt sein finde ich.

VSAKCS ich finde das ohne Klinge grundsätzlich eine super Idee, man muß ka keines ohne Klinge kaufen. Allerdings zeichnet victorinox doch die Vielfältigkeit aus. Daher hätte ich mir eine Variante mit mehr Werkzeugen gewünscht. Allerdings mehr noch etwas neues. In meinen Augen ist eine Lage raus lassen und ein Loch auf. Bohren nichts neues. Vielleicht bin ich aber auch durch das modden und die unendlichen Möglichkeiten sehr abgestumpft. Jedenfalls hätte ich 100 Ideen was neue werzeuge oder Kombinationen angeht. Und wenn man sowas kommt ist man einfach enttäuscht da der Markt seit Jahren nach Innovationen schreit. Die modding Szene wäre bei weitem nicht so groß wenn es da nicht so maßlos viel Luft nach oben gäbe.

Damit will ich jetzt keinen persönlich ansprechen, aber alles schlecht zu reden und nur negative Gedanken zu verstreuten, ist keine Kritik und schon gar nicht konstruktiv.

Aber darüber diskutieren sollte erlaubt sein, zumal hier zum größten Teil ja ein ordentlicher Umgangston gewahrt wird

Elsinox I agree comments are mostly positive, and there is nothing wrong with constructive criticism. I see this as one of the major challenges of dealing with any collector or fan based community, people want to see personal relevance in every new event, its a never ending controversy.
