Erik Well if you haven’t looked closely at the Chinese New Year you probably shouldn’t.
I was never particularly interested in them until I recently found a shop that had two of the Year Of The Snake knives. They are really very impressive up close and the packaging is second to none in the modern Limited Edition knives.
They include something that I thought was a paper certificate in the box. I think it might actually be thin piece of wood (I don’t know) printed and has a very detailed lace/mesh precisely cut detail cut it in. In the pictures of the knife that area just looks white but it’s actually super fine holes cut in it. I’m sure someone here can share more detail on what that is. It wasn’t my knife so I didn’t want to handle it to inspect it.
The artistic detail on the scales is quite impressive too. I nearly bought one but I’m really trying to show some restraint.
