MichaelRothenpieler Thank you. I have done some research on these in the past and I have some info that isn't on the on the SAKWiki page. I almost purchased another one of these last summer but changed my mind.
The SportRatchet is part of an "Innovative" collection called Victorinox Lifestyle tools. The AutoTool, GolfTool and CyberTool are the others in this collection.
It's interesting to note that these were actually assembled by Lacey Manufacturing Company of Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA on contract for Swiss Army Bands Inc.
I theorize this is why there is no Victorinox shield & cross logo anywhere on this tool. There is also no indication on the tool or in the instructions indicating where this was actually made. I can only guess that this information must have been on the original packaging.
So one might ask were all of these tools in the Victorinox Lifestyle collection assembled in the USA? If the AutoTool was and the SportRatchet were then what about the GolfTool and CyberTool? The GolfTool and CyberTool both differ from these other two in one very obvious way. They both have the shield & cross logo. So the tools that were assembled in USA do not and were both discontinued.
