My Dad asked me to get something to make a connection on his tractor battery so it would start. I misunderstood exactly what he meant so I passed him my Spartan with the small pen blade open thinking he would cut some wire sleeve or something.
He took that blade and shoved it really hard into the battery terminal, sparks flew and the tractor started!
My Spartan was only 2 days old having been given it by my wife! The blade was scorched, badly bent and chipped!!!
I managed to straighten it out and polish some of the scorching off it but it isn't perfect…
At the time I was really angry and upset but now it holds a memory in it, so I actually like it. It hasn't really made the knife any less effective, it's still sharp and is now quite straight.
