Julius Indeed, the modern tip of the scissors spring is different. This V-shaped spring appeared c.1970 (for 91mm) and is still used with a slight change (for scissors and pliers 91mm and 111mm). The tip of the spring was originally flat and slightly curved and the spring sometimes jumped off the movable handle of the scissors. In 1990, this problem was solved by changing the profile of the tip of the spring to a cup-shaped one that moves along a guide groove in the handle of the scissors. For 84mm scissors, this change was not made and their spring looks like 91mm pre-1990 only smaller. By the way, thanks to Victorinox, we can still buy springs for scissors of both the new style and the old style pre-1990 (flat curved tip) !
MichaelRothenpieler Julius an das Abrutschen der Feder kann ich mich an mein altes Mountaineer noch sehr gut erinnern. Wenn die sich einmal beim Schließen verkanntet hatte, passierte das immer wieder. Die Kerbe war da eine echte Abhilfe!
Vic_1984 Ich hätte noch eine Frage zu der Economy-Serie: Welche Schalenfarben gab es denn für diese Serie? Nur die roten (old Cross) oder auch schon schwarze Schalen?
MichaelRothenpieler Vic_1984 kenne noch schwarz, blau und grün. Da die als Werbemesser sehr beliebt waren, kann ich mir sogar noch mehr Farben vorstellen
