Victorinox customer service in Connecticut confirmed that the signature is of Carl Elsener Sr. (a.k.a. Carl Elsener III), CEO from 1950 until 2007. It stands to reason that this SD comes from the same time period as the 2003 and 2005 Soldiers with the same etching, though there is one theory that they were produced for Elsener‘s retirement in 2007. Is there anyone on here from Ibach who can confirm or deny any of this?
