Today the Super Tinker joined me for the day and we visited the Haynes Motor Museum with my students at work.
This photo shows a replica of the Benz Patent-Motorwagen. The importance of this thing cannot be overstated, it is commonly regarded as the very first car!! As a keen driver, car lover and general motoring enthusiast it never fails to deeply impress me and move me every time I see it. I visit the museum on a fairly regular basis and I feel the same every time.
It is the only exhibit in this very impressive car museum that I stop my students and take the time to explain the significance of it.
If you ever find yourself in the Somerset area of England then visit the museum, it's brilliant!!
