I had a waterline break in a rental house I own. It was in a really hard to get at spot. Under the kitchen sink but also under the cabinet floor.
I had some tools with me but none of them were ideal. I had to pull up on all the slack that was in the waterline then try to cut it. If I let the line slip it would disappear under the floor and I’d be required to cut a big hole to gain access.
Anyway long story short I would normally cut this type of waterline with a razor knife but this time I couldn’t. I didn’t have enough room and I would have to do it with very little control all while trying to make a straight clean cut. I just couldn’t do it. I could only get part way through the waterline. That’s when I decided to use the serrated blade on my Serrated Climber Lite custom. It worked great. Better than I expected. Controlled and clean cut. I couldn’t get through this with a full sized razor knife. Pretty cool!
I’ve been carrying the Alox Slim together with my Serrated Climber Lite custom. It’s been a really great combo for me. In the last month or so I’ve had one of them in use about 50% of my 10 hr day. Hundreds of boxes opened.
