Yes you’re totally right. It’s not the common understanding though is it. People who review them on YouTube usually only say it’s weak light and not much good for anything, it’s from a different era. Now we all carry flashlights in our cell phones. They just don’t get it. Oh well.
The only downside that I can think of is you can’t submerge the knife in water. That’s not been an issue for me up to this point.
