¿Puedes explicar un poco más sobre la segunda? ¿Es una edición de una tienda o es directamente de victorinox? Siempre me pregunto dónde estaba yo cuando salieron estas cosas y por qué no me entero nunca (o más bien: me entero tarde).

Las cachas 3D son un gusto, porque además de a la vista, son distintas al tacto. Unas compras geniales, como nos tienes acostumbrados.

No, you don’t see Alox knives like that here very often either. I did recently find a really nice 84mm Alox Voyageur in the same part of the country, though.

I found this Cadet listed on Marketplace on the opposite side of the country for less than the price of a new Spartan. After paying for shipping, it ended up costing a little more, but there were no duties or taxes since it wasn’t an international purchase.

The Kaleidoscope Deluxe Tinker was a dealer-issued limited edition from Swiss Knife Shop, not an official Victorinox factory limited edition. They only etched the blade on 150 of them, but that exclusivity came at a premium. By the time I paid the shipping, handling charges, duty, and taxes, it ended up being a very expensive knife for me.

In the end, I’m just happy it finally arrived. For a while, I thought it had been lost forever.

A mysterious knife today. Specifically, not the knife itself, but the scales' color. Many collectors once discovered that the well-known scales color, transparent pinkish brown, wasn't listed in catalogs, while the catalog's transparent black onyx (celidor) color was almost entirely unavailable. It turns out that transparent black onyx changes color over time, becoming transparent brown. I myself had a transparent brown Cybertool, and many of my collector friends have the same ones too. However, you can occasionally see these knives in nearly the correct color, but it's very rare. So I bought this one and let’s see the color changes.

Julius I was looking at buying one of those last winter. I probably should have. I didn’t realize they were actually the Black Onyx colour. The one I was looking at didn’t have the box, though. I thought the brown was just an odd colour, and that was ultimately the reason I didn’t buy it.

I’d be tempted to put some sunscreen on it to try to slow the UV damage if that’s what’s causing it. 😜

Actually, I wonder if it even is UV damage. The colour change is so uniform and appears evenly on both sides. I wouldn’t be surprised if something else is causing it, like oxidation or even heat.

If it were mine, I’d try to keep it black.

I did recently pick up a translucent green CyberTool. I’m kind of kicking myself now for not buying that brown one too.

MichaelRothenpieler they used these scales for different models in first half of 2000s together with other translucent ruby and sapphire colors.
P.S. Once again - we need every year Victorinox catalogs! We still have a lot of gaps or only US market Catalogs 🤷🏻‍♂️
