The market price is whatever someone will pay for it. This is true of any type of collection. Look at all the Star Wars and Disney adults buying the mass produced plastic “collectibles” that are fresh off the shelves. Sports Cards, Coins, Stamps, Watches, whatever. How are Victorinox knives and Victorinox collectors any different. This is nothing new, this is collecting. No revelation here. 🤷♂️
I have made more than one Yeoman custom and they are a nice combination of tools. There was a time when they were a knife I carried quite a bit. My day to day needs changed or perhaps became clearer so now they rarely get used. This is true for my Scientist and even my Compacts. All of those knives share the ComboTool. I use a lot of old slotted screws in the cars I build and work on. I found the multi tool screwdriver wasn’t up to the task and didn’t work well for me. I personally only like the standard cap lifter screwdriver for slotted screws. If you don’t come across a lot of slotted screws then your experience will likely be different I’m sure.
For me these days the good old Explorer is my choice over a Yeoman 100% of the time. But nothing is black and white. We all need something different. There are no right or wrong answers.
I added a little spice to one Yeoman I did carry quite a bit. I put a serrated blade on this one.
