MichaelRothenpieler It is a very thin precise knife. We don’t have a lot of cartons like that here. I think apple juice used to come like that. It’s been years since I’ve seen that. We used to use scissors. Actually now there is a plastic spout the pops open on them.
There is one odd/interesting/unique thing that is done in part of Canada regarding milk. You buy it in a clear bag. I think they are one litre but they might be two litre I can’t remember. You buy a bag with three or four of these bags in it. Take it home and put the bag in a special pitcher then cut the corner off the bag and pour it as you need it. Change the bag when it runs out. That was an eastern Canada only thing though. I lived in Ottawa in the late 70s/80s. That’s the first time I’d ever seen it. Very strange at first.
