Until today I didn’t own an 84mm model and since I’m a big fan of the Tinker family I decided to find one to complete my Tinker line up.
I bought this one off EBay for $21 and it appears to be pre 1985 because the awl does not have the sewing-eye however the main blade tang stamp appears to be 1986-1992 because of the bigger V. Is it common for there to be a year overlap in tools? Or maybe the had the main blade replaced at some point?
Another interesting thing is the knife came with the 36mm short tweezers! I’ve never seen these before and even though they aren’t correct for this model I’m keeping them for a future project.
I’m excited to finally get my first 84mm and complete my Tinker collection but now I’m hooked and on the lookout for more 😎
