Wie macht ihr das mit Erer Sammlung? Ich lagere sie auf Tablets mit Schaumstoffeinlagen. Diese Tablets bewahre ich in einem Schrank Staub und Licht geschützt auf. Alle Messer haben einen Anhänger mit Artikelname und Artikelnummer. Alle Messer sind dann noch katalogisiert. Die Verpackungen werden ebenfalls in Sammelkartons nach Messergruppen entsprechend aufbewahrt. Jetzt seid ihr dran.

I don't have quite enough to catalogue my collection just yet… I have them in a display cabinet. People tend to pull funny faces when I say I have a 'knife collection', but when they see the cabinets they tend to be a bit shocked how good it looks, which is nice.

I was waiting for the collection section of the community forum to start but I'll put this picture on here anyway. They are actually cabinets for lego mini figures and I have used lego blocks to build stands for the knives. I sometimes like to just stand and look at them! 😆😂

I need to get my collection in order and do something like this. Right now, mine are in a drawer in a cabinet but I need to come up with a nice way to display them and the wife won't get mad.

MichaelRothenpieler it was one small case…. Then it was a bigger one, then I couldn't have a small and a big as it looked odd, so had to be 2 bigger ones… now I'm starting to think to display them properly I need a third case! My wife is not too impressed with the idea of the third case. 😆

I am thinking about getting a tall, floor-standing, slim, fully glass case for the next move.

MichaelSteck Ich habe gerade so ungefähr 250 drinnen, habe im Deckel und in einigen Fächern, Fächer mit Plexiglas eingearbeitet. Ich denke ich würde nochmal so 200 + reinbekommen. Ich glaube die Kiste schafft so 400 bis knapp 450/500 Messer auf zu nehmen. Es gibt zwei Drei verschiedene Kisten Größen, je nach Fertigkeit und persönlichen Können, kann die Messeranzahl daher unterschiedlich sein.

I’ve mentioned this before but I keep a lot of knives on magnetic hooks stuck to an old steel road sign on the wall behind my office door. Not on display just a hanging there. They all have tags with the model name and production date range based on tang stamps, tools, etc. I don’t even know if my wife knows they are there behind the door.

I’ve also got a bunch still in there boxes in a large file box and there’s a few next to where I keep my truck key and wallet. I really have no idea how many I have.

29roadie Die Idee ist ja auch nicht schlecht. Ich hätte jetzt nur bedenken das die Messer sich ständig hin und her bewegen und am Ende nicht gerade in Reihe und Glied hängen. Ich mag nichts was nicht klar und fest erkennbar ist. Ist so eine Macke von mir. Besteck muss in der Schublade auch exakt gerade liegen und nicht durch einander. Jaaaa ich weiß ich habe da ein Knall.
