I picked up this 84mm Golfer last week off Marketplace place I think it was. It just arrived in the mail today from the other side of the country. I didn’t know for sure that it was an 84mm or just an old 91mm Compact but I thought I’d take a chance. The knife was cheap but shipping is expensive here. I think I felt it was an 84mm because the scale of the shield gave away the knife’s size.
I haven’t cleaned it at all in the pictures and I’ve got it next to a 91mm Compact that just came back from Victorinox service for comparison.
This isn’t a fancy one with any of the less common tools but It’s the first one I’ve had. I didn’t think any of these had key rings but I just saw a picture of one from the same era with a key ring. I wonder when that was added? There’s so many little variations in these models it’s interesting. It can be hard to find the answers though at times.
